The Burnt Half to screen on SBS

We’re extremely excited to announce that our Feature Documentary - The Burnt Half - has been given a broadcast date!

Acquired by SBS earlier this year, following our festival screenings at the Melbourne Documentary Film Festival and the Adelaide Film Festival, we’ve been told by SBS that the film is scheduled to begin screening from the 6th January.

It’s been a mad dash finalising the list of deliverables, but luckily we’re a post-production company, so have rolled up our sleeves and pulled together everything from the Music Cue Sheet, to the Post Script to the final screener!

If you haven’t seen it yet, below is the teaser trailer for the film.

Produced in partnership with our sister company, Arterial Films, The Burnt Half presents the untold story of the devastating bushfires that destroyed half of Kangaroo Island during the 2019/2020 bushfires.

Following wonderful festival screenings, we’re thrilled to finally bring this labour of love to a national audience.

In addition to this SBS distribution deal, we’re equally excited to announce that The Burnt Half has been acquired by global sales agent, X4 who will be handling international sales in 2024.

Finally, as part of the deal we secured with SBS, our half-hour documentary, The Rover of Tobruk will also be screening on SBS and SBS On Demand from April 2024.

We’ll announce the specific time of the 6th Jan screening as soon as we learn more.
